The Silver Apples of The Moon and Sleeping Princess by Margaret Macdonald. I’d never heard of her until I saw Sex and Sensibility on BBC4 the other night. She was married to Charles Rennie Mackintosh but apparently her work was a bit spooky for the British tastes at the time but she hugely influenced Klimt. Her gesso panels are stunning.
